Abstract

Yacambú University is at a pivotal moment to strengthen its commitment to University Social Responsibility (USR) through the development of research whose main objective is to propose strategies for improving USR based on Chapter 7.4 of the ISO 26000:2010 standard at Yacambú University. To diagnose the institution's current situation and propose possible solutions, various techniques and tools were used, including the AUTORSE method, which revealed a 42.06% compliance level, indicating that the institution is in the early stages of the implementation process. Through observations, interviews, and diagnostic audits, key weaknesses and opportunities were identified to move toward a more socially responsible management approach. Based on these findings, a SWOT matrix was developed as a starting point for designing strategies to drive continuous improvement. The proposal was structured around the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act), allowing the university’s actions to be guided toward more sustainable and inclusive goals. The presented proposal offers a clear and feasible roadmap to achieve this objective, helping to consolidate a more ethical and committed organizational culture aligned with the expectations of today’s society.
