This essay, based on a documentary review, addresses the impact that the ongoing advancement of Big Data and smart technologies has on flexible manufacturing, resulting in a more efficient, adaptable, and innovation-oriented production model in the current context, highlighting the fundamental role of Big Data as a driver of this synergy.
