Abstract

This research was conducted to provide a detailed understanding of lithium extraction and processing, highlighting its importance in modern industry, especially in battery manufacturing. Lithium is a fundamental chemical element in the energy transition, primarily extracted from underground brine deposits and minerals such as spodumene. Its extraction involves specific drilling and evaporation processes in brines, as well as mining and chemical processing of minerals. Lithium is crucial in the manufacture of lithium-ion batteries and is also indispensable in electronic devices and electric vehicles. Proper lithium selection and efficient processing are essential to meet growing global demand. Furthermore, significant emphasis is placed on the importance of lithium quality control to ensure its purity, performance, and safety in all applications. This research addresses all the techniques and stages involved in these processes to provide a comprehensive overview.
