Social networks and technology in the visibilization of violence against women in Venezuela

Abstract

This scientific article aims to analyze the impact of social media and technology on the visibility of violence against women in Venezuela. Specifically, it considers how social media influences the visibility of violence against women in Venezuela and its legal challenges. Methodologically, the article is a study based on a qualitative paradigm, as it is an interpretive methodology based on observations of social media, technologies, and their legal challenges. Its nature is documentary, as different investigative techniques are used, and it subscribes to a dogmatic legal approach based on the study of Venezuelan legal norms. The final conclusion of the article was that violence against women is a negative phenomenon for society. It is recommended that good practices on social media be encouraged based on victims' complaints through various digital platforms, thus regulating this fact and considering it as the beginning of a legal process.
