Abstract

Political Psychology is a novel discipline covered with complexity that has taken a rise in various academic fields focused on different conceptualizations and epistemic perspectives, whose objective is the analysis of political phenomena considering their psychological aspects. Specifically, in the Latin American context, it has consisted of the contribution of ideas under the influence of critical social psychology; Likewise, in Mexico, his study has been carried out from a conceptual reference that associates the psychological with the political and as an application of general psychology in political affairs. Research in this area reflects community social psychology's contributions and traditional psychology's technical-methodological contributions. Through a documentary review, the following is an attempt to examine the influence of Political Psychology in the training of professionals in Mexico from the perspective of different authors, suggesting the need to systematize curricular proposals that successfully integrate it into the study plans of higher education institutions.
