Abstract

This argumentative essay aimed to examine the challenges of humanistic learning in the active practice of clinical cardiology residency from a reflective, inspiring perspective committed to compassionate patient care. Theoretical development focused on three core aspects: technical and human competencies in clinical cardiology residents, the cross-cutting theme of the ethics of care in cardiology training, and learning from the humanistic connection through documentary research, selecting articles and documents. Among the conclusions is that clinical cardiology resident training must consolidate humanistic learning through strengthening empathy, active listening, and patient sensitivity. Integrating relational experiences under person-centered pedagogical approaches will develop cardiologists capable of practicing ethical, compassionate, and transformative medicine, oriented toward holistic well-being. A clinical cardiology training program is envisioned that focuses on consolidating physicians who integrate ethical sensitivity, technical competence, and social commitment, strengthening the humanization of medical practice in the face of the challenges of innovation, diversity, and health equity.
