How Dr. José Gregorio Hernández evaded death eleven times

A constant in Venezuelan popular belief is to point out that Dr. Hernández had “bad luck”, because at only 54 years old, he was fatally run over by the only vehicle in Caracas, when this is uncertain since prior to his irreparable accident, by 1904, there were already more than 700 vehicles registered in Venezuela and on the contrary, he presented great luck, since on eleven documented occasions and possibly more times, he managed to escape death, surely due to divine protection, where God had already prepared the way for this man of science and holiness, the fourth Venezuelan blessed, the first saint of Venezuela, the doctor of the poor, Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.
