Abstract

One of the most important aspects that human beings possess is that related to emotions, since they are a fundamental part of their integral development and are related to emotional intelligence. This involves the development of various skills and the management of ideas, where emotions and feelings influence your behavior as a human being who thinks and feels, and all areas of your work life. In the case of the university manager, they lead to work excellence, since they complement their rationality with emotionality, maintaining a balance that leads to success in all areas of their managerial work. In this sense, the following essay is presented whose purpose is oriented to analyze the actions of the emotionally intelligent manager in the university context, since they are not only rational beings, but also emotional, both aspects must be present in the manager's actions while maintaining a balance between the rational and the emotional, decision making, leadership, in the treatment of staff, in addition to understanding, helping and guiding them so that they are more effective and efficient in their work, generating satisfaction not only in the staff but also in manager.
